JOHNSON & JOHNSON/DEPUY ORTHOPAEDICS Johnson & Johnson’s sub-division, DePuy Orthopaedics, gathers the leading surgeons from Latin America at an annual forum to present and discuss the latest developments in orthopedic and neurosurgery. PTS supports them by providing teams of specialized simultaneous interpreters in fields such as sports medicine, joint replacement, spinal and neurosurgery. Only the most qualified interpreters are able to support a forum of this magnitude (there are an average of 15 to 20 speakers per day) and PTS has done it successfully, with compliments from the surgeons themselves.
AMGEN PHARMACEUTICAL When the senior management at Amgen Pharmaceutical wanted to motivate their European sales force, they decided to bring their team of 800 representatives from four countries to the U.S. for their annual kick-off meeting. While Amgen’s senior management from the U.S. updated the group on their accomplishments and new developments, four teams of PTS's technical interpreters were set up backstage to provide the attendees with simultaneous interpretation into four languages: Spanish, French, German and Italian. PTS was already a familiar name for Amgen, as our simultaneous interpreters had been previously hired to work on-site at their facility in California by one of their top vendors, J.D. Edwards. |
